Here is a new post about Berlin Fashion Week spring/summer 2019. Today’s post is my short recap of the collections from three very talented designers: Anja Gockel, Irene Luft and Rebekka Ruétz. All of them were truly amazing, I loved the eclectic and colorful looks of Rebekka Ruetz, the super empowering collection by Anja Gockel and the opulence of Irene Luft. As always, I will briefly describe the collections and show you my favorite looks for each collection. Let me know which one you like the best.
Anja Gockel
I attended Anja Gockel fashion show last year as well and it’s always a highlight for me during Berlin Fashion Week. This was the first show I attended this season and also this time it was held in the beautiful location of the luxury Hotel Adlon Kempinski that helps to make the atmosphere even more wonderful. The collection is called EVE, an acronym for Empowerment, Vision, Equality. These three themes are clearly visible in the collection that left me amazed by the abundance of details such as bows and giant rouche, prints and transparencies.
Irene Luft
Another wonderful collection is that of Irene Luft, one of the most important representatives of modern German fashion. The collection was all about classic silhouttes made modern through the use of materials, abstract prints and transparencies. I really loved everything, but above all the luxurious and elegant prints played down by a colorful contouring on the models, mirrored sunglasses and sneakers.
Rebekka Ruétz
This is a fashion designer that I admire for her always exceptional works. The motto of this extravagant and colorful collection is “Make Love Great Again”. Each outfit is like a canvas on which a modern work of art is represented. I loved the outfits with abstract prints in black and yellow, but also the super-colored ones. You can also notice a streetwear trend with sporty outfits, printed t-shirts and sleeves in transparent plastic.
