Berlin Fashion Week s/s 18: Ewa Herzog, Anja Gockel and Nathini Van der Meer

Last week was Fashion Week time in Berlin, an event that I always love to attend. It was a few years since I didn’t attend fashion shows in the German capital city, and this time I was pleasantly impressed. I love Berlin’s fashion scene and every show I’ve seen is unique in its kind. Today I show you the looks which impressed me the most of three designers: Ewa Herzog, Anja Gockel and Nathini Van Der Meer.

Ewa Herzog

Ewa Herzog’s fashion show was one of my favorite. The designer often uses lace and transparencies to give an idea of pure-looking femininity, and this time it wasn’t different. The dominant colors were neutral ones: white, gray, cream, but also black and red. A collection that, thanks to the widespread use of high quality materials, brings a feminine, elegant, but sexy woman on the walkway thanks to the transparency.

Anja Gockel

Anja Gockel fashion show was located in the beautiful location offered by the majestic Hotel Adlon Kempinsky. Even before the show began I was really astonished by the interior and the elegance of this place. The designer for this collection was inspired by Vincent Van Gogh; not so much by his paintings but more by his personality. Many garnments in the collection have quotes and phrases in honor of the famous painter. The colors, even in this case, are predominantly pastel with the use of transparencies, tulle and maxi dresses. An eccentric and very interesting collection.

Nathini Van Der Meer

The young designer’s collection is very particular and with an urban style. The looks displayed were just ten, five menswear and 5 womenswear. The materials used and the garnments shown, however,  are not typical of a spring/summer collection: knitwear, coats and jackets are, in fact, predominant. Despite this, it is definitely a modern, sporty and interesting collection. The predominant colors are mustard yellow, red, white and black.
