Hotel review: Riad Dar Ten – Marrakech

Today’s hotel review is about the last hotel we stayed during our Marrakech vacation: the Riad Dar Ten. Among all the hotels we stayed during our vacation in Marrakech this was the one with the most relaxed and quiet atmosphere. The courtyard is my favorite part of the riad and it’s decorated with marvelous Moroccan rugs and a large fountain in the center full of petals. The smell of incense and essential oils was wonderful and one of the most beautiful memories of the holiday in Marrakech was our last night that we decided to spend the riad. It was a magical Moroccan evening, sitting with Ste at a table in the scented courtyard sipping our last Moroccan mint tea as we talked about life. Marrakech is really magical and this riad has been the place of the last days spent here, a place I would heartily recommend.

Room

The riad consists of only three rooms and three suites. Our room was the Paprika Suite, the room with the best view because of the large window in front of the bed that looks directly onto the inner courtyard. I loved the typically Moroccan decor on the tones of red and orange and the small rustic bathroom. It seemed to live in a real Moroccan house during my stay here. Decor

Both the rooms and common areas are decorated in traditional Moroccan style. The strengths of the interior are the wonderful rugs and the lanterns that create a magical atmosphere. I also loved the big sofa with pillows of the common area and the black and white photos on the walls.

Roof terrace

The Riad Dar Ten terrace is the perfect place to sunbathe and relax after shopping in the Medina. There is also a whirlpool that we didn’t use but that is perfect for relax in the evening when the temperature becomes a bit cooler.

Breakfast

Breakfast was very rich and included typical Moroccan sweets that I really loved, fresh fruit, coffee and the traditional mint tea, a must to try when traveling in Morocco. Everything was delicious and a great way to start the day.

I conclude with a mention to the staff who was always kind and attentive to our requests. They helped us with the tranfer for the airport and they are also available to arrange tours inside and out of Marrakech. I am happy to have stayed in such wonderful hotels during my trip and I’m convinced that choosing the right hotel has the power to improve the holiday.   5. Marrakesh is such a wonderful place to visit and the hotel you stayed at looks welcoming and luxurious. Gotta fall in love with their Moroccan architecture, everything looks beautiful in there specially the vivid colored walls. Wishing you a lovely day. xx
