Hotel review: Les Cinq Djellabas – Marrakech

The hotel Les Cinq Djellabas was the second hotel where we stayed during our week in Marrakech. We decided to spend three relaxing days in a resort at the Palmeraie, a Marrakech area much quieter than the Medina, characterized by the presence of numerous palm trees and an incredible landscape. We chose to stay at the Cinq Djellabas because we fell in love with the photos on their site. The reality has far exceeded expectations and our experience has been really wonderful and unforgettable.

Lodge

The hotel consists of only 10 luxury lodges located in the large hotel park. Inside the décor is african safari style with high straw ceilings lit by adjustable lights on each side. The fact that there were so few lodges made the experience even more beautiful thanks to the quietness and the 24h service completely devoted to the needs of each guest. The breakfast was served directly in the lodge or you could choose to have it  outside, by the pool or in the breakfast room.

Interior

The furniture of the common areas was in safari style as well, with warm earth tone predominant colors. The bar with big bookshelves where you could relax during the day and drink something in the evening, was really wonderful. I loved the rugs that made up a contrast with the warm colors of the rest of the room. Also the breakfast room was wonderfully furnished. I loved the fireplace and the black and white photos on the walls. I really liked this style, it made me soak in a different atmosphere than the one you breathe in the Medina, very relaxing and elegant.

Pool

Of course my favorite part of the whole hotel is the large swimming pool surrounded by comfortable sunbeds. We spent there  a lot of time just enjoying the sun and the refreshing pool. In the evening I liked to enjoy sunset sit outside our lodge and then walk around the illuminated pool enjoying the quiet of the night. This is one of the memories that I will always bring with me from this holiday.

If you want to make a holiday in Marrakech without giving up on relax, I would recommend staying at this hotel. Your holiday will be absolutely wonderful without losing anything thanks to the many excursions you can book directly from the hotel. We did a quad ride one morning with a break in a typical Moroccan village to sip the traditional mint tea. I will tell you better about this experience in a next post. I love the fact that there are 10 separate lodges within the park, so you have that sense of privacy; I’ll have to make note to consider staying here whenever visiting Marrakech!   21. This hotel reminds me of being in a resort. 🙂 It’s beautiful and quite modern, though. My style is more of a bohemian vintage chic. 🙂 Thanks for letting us know that it’s quieter than being in Medina. My husband and I are planning to visit Marrakech sometime next year and this article was very helpful. 😉

  54. This hotel looks so beautiful! I love the beds by the pool and how the water looks so clear and refreshing. Marrakech is high on my list of places I want to go, so I will definitely keep this post in mind if I ever get to travel there! Thanks for sharing girl xx
