7 korean skin care products you must try

Lately I introduced in my skin care routine seven new Korean beauty products I received from SkinId, a valid Swedish site specialized in Korean beauty. The advantage of buying from them is that it is safe, and it’s situated in Europe, saving you from having to pay customs duties. The products also arrived very quickly and packaged very well, so I’d recommend it if you too are fond of Korean beauty like me or if you want to approach to this world for the first time. The Korean skin care is very different from the western one and includes products such as essences, serums and treatments, which are almost nonexistent in the normal Western skin care but for that are very important for the korean skin care. The key word for a proper Korean skin care is moisturizing. But now let’s talk about all the new products I’ve tried thanks to SkinId.

Holy Moly Snail Sheet Mask – Cosrx

By now it is well known how the snail mucin is good for the skin, and this sheet mask has is it as the main ingredient. If you have not tried any product with snail mucin in it, don’t worry, it’s not something disgusting, indeed. this mask is super-hydrating, plumping and nourishing. Among the three masks I’ve tried it was the one with the most visible results immediately after using it. The mask is full of liquid and in fact I recommend not to throw it away after one use, but to keep it and reuse it a second time. The skin after just one use will be light and soft but not sticky or greasy.

Water Gel Extra Force Moisturizing Mask – Polatam

This is another moisturizing sheet mask soaked in a serum that contains Korean Oak Sap, full of natural minerals that nourishes the skin in depth. As with any sheet mask, once applied, you must must leave it on your face for 10-20 minutes, but if you have very dry skin you can leave it longer. Once removed you should not rinse the excess serum but you have to massage it on your face until it is completely absorbed. Even after that my skin was not completely dry, so I recommend you to wait a few hours before applying make-up, or to use the mask before going to sleep to leave the effects benefits all night.

Moisturizing Sauna Foil Mask – Make P:rem

This mask, unlike the others, is a foil sheet mask. The difference from the normal ones is that the foil layer allows to create a “sauna” effect that opens the pores, prevents evaporation and allows the ingredients to act more in depth. In addition to this benefit these masks are also really fun to use, I have taken a lot of selfies while wearing it and I also published one on Instagram. A wonderful opportunity to look like the tin woman for a few minutes. The mask I tried was moisturizing but froms the same brand there is also firming and whitenig masks and I am very curious to try them all.

Secret of Sahara Essences sample set – Huxley

SkinId sent me a set of essences sample from Huxley, and I loved the fact that I could try all of them in order to understand what is the most suitable for my skin. As I told you before, the essence is a critical step for the Korean skin care. It is applied after cleansing and toning for an extra hydration that allows the products that you are going to apply after it, to absorb better. The Grab Water Essence is my favorite. The scent, like the other two, is very floral and intense, very pleasant to apply. The consistency, is very watery and contains 85% of Sahara Cactus extract that moisturizes the skin and improves complexion. It also protects the skin from stress and aging due to its high antioxidant content. This essence is perfect for me because it absorbs quickly and doesn’t leaves the skin greasy, a very important thing for people like me who has the mixed/oily skin. The Essence-Like, Oil-like is a mix of water-based and oil essence. It’s very rich in antioxidants and it contains Sahara Cactus extract too. The third essence is the Light and More Essence and it has the consistency of a true oil. I use it only for the night routine because for me it is too moisturizing. It contains Sahara Prickly Pear, jojoba and sunflower oil, ingredients that moisturize and nourish the skin. If you are looking for the perfect essence, I suggest you choose one of them according to your skin type, as they have natural and organic ingredients that are very valuable.

One step Pimple clear Pads – Cosrx

This product is perfect for people like me who have combination skin with pimples occasionaly. The packaging contains cotton pads that help to fight pimples and prevent them from breaking out. I’ve used it over the past weeks and I noticed an improvement in my skin. You have to pad gently over the face after cleansing and before proceeding with normal skin care routine. I also loved the super fun packaging!
