London Fashion Week is over and I’m really happy to have been able to see so many shows and presentations. Today’s post is about the shows that I’ve attended and all the trends that I spotted for the next autumn-winter.
Among all the shows I’ve seen I can not choose my favorite, the collections were all wonderful. During the fashion shows I`ve always posted videos and photos on my Instagram Stories, but if you’ve missed them, I’ve also posted some videos on Instagram. (@olga_federico)
But let’s start to talk about the shows I attended:
PPQ
The first fashion show I’ve attended was PPQ. The title of this show is it’s all black and white, a theme noticeable even by the invitation. In fact, the show has a predominance of these two colors. The color simplicity is offset by contrasts in the shapes, with maxi skirts that reach to the floor, and the predominance of stripes and plaid prints.
Trends:
-Black and white
-Stripes and plaid prints
-Sporty chic (sneakers worn with maxi skirts)
-Velevet, fur and feathers
-High neck tops
Ports 1961
Trends:
-Oversize sweaters
-Off shoulder
-Asymmetrical shapes
Katie Ann Mcguigan
Katie Ann Mcguigan is an emerging designer and winner of the prestigious Merit Award by Fashion Scout. Her collection is super colorful with a strong use of layering and geometric prints. This use of layers and oversized shapes does not weigh down the figure that remains feminine and modern.
Trends:
-Geometric prints
-Layering
-Oversize coats
-Maxi skirts
-Leather
Han Wen
For his collection Han Wen takes inspiration from the female gangsters of the novel A Clockwork Orange and the result is a powerful and innovative fashion show. Most of the outfits has an oversized leather jacket with silver chains and lace-up details. The jackets are often paired with satin maxi skirt and flared trousers creating an elegant look but androgynous and rebellious at the same time
Trends:
-Leather
-Oversize jackets
-Maxi skirts
-Flared pants
-Lace-up details

Such a great trend report, girlie! I’m so glad that much of the trends that I’ve loved from last season are still trending for the next, which makes splurging on some (stripes) a bit more reasonable, since they can be viewed as classics, too. I’m also looking forward to expanding my OTS collection, too! Thanks for sharing, girlie, and I hope you have a great weekend ahead!
XO,
Jalisa
