Spring/Summer 2011 fashion trends

Want to start to renew your wardrobe for spring /summer season? So this post is for you because is a list of the new trends of the season! A way as any to leave behind us the cold winter of this year! :)

Volete iniziare a rinnovare il vostro guardaroba in vista della stagione primaverile/estiva? Allora questo post fa al caso vostro perchè vi elencherò i nuovi trend della stagione! Un modo come un altro per lasciarci alle spalle il freddo inverno di quest’anno! 🙂

1) Lace clothing

 This trend is not entirely new, but for the new season has evolved. The lace now is coming closer to the classic with antique fabrics.

Questo trend non è del tutto nuovo, ma per la nuova stagione si è evoluto. Il pizzo ora volge più verso il classico con tessuti in stile antico.

2)Crochet & macrame

The macramé and crochet works are very similar but with the difference that the fabric macramé is knotted to create a very special effect. This process is associated primarily with the nineteenth century sailors who carried out using this tissue resistant ropes in their spare time. The crochet work in hand are more sensitive but not so delicate as to be lace, although this trend is certainly similar to lace


Il macramè e l’uncinetto sono lavorazioni molto simili ma con la differenza che il tessuto macramè è annodato in modo da creare un effetto molto particolare. Questa lavorazione è associata soprattutto ai marinai del diciannovesimo secolo che eseguivano questo tessuto utilizzando corde resistenti nel loro tempo libero. Le lavorazioni in uncinetto invece sono più delicate ma non così delicate da essere merletti, anche se questa tendenza è sicuramente simile a quella del pizzo


3)Wide leg pants

This trend goes some way to replace the classic skinny pants that for years are always in style, and reflect a kind of revival of the 70, typical of the new season.

Questo trend cerca in qualche modo di sostituire i classici pantaloni skinny, che ormai da anni sono sempre di moda e traducono una sorta di revival degli anni 70, tipico della nuova stagione.

4) Stripes

This new trend is nautical-inspired with navy and white wide stripes (or black and white). It’s used primarily for clothes where the strips cover them completely.

Questa nuova tendenza è di ispirazione nautica con strisce larghe navy e bianche (o anche bianche e nere). E’ utilizzato soprattutto per i vestiti dove le strisce lo coprono interamente

5) Dresses longer at the back
Vestiti più lunghi dietro

They can be long or short, but the new trend for clothes is that the edge behind must be longer than in front. It’s an alternative to the classic mini or maxi dresses

Possono essere lunghi o corti ma la nuova tendenza per i vestiti è che l’orlo dietro deve essere più lungo rispetto a davanti. Un’alternativa ai classici mini o maxi dress
