Crystals are one of my greatest passions and a great way to raise your vibrations, improve your life, and get to know your Higher Self. I’ve been studying crystal healing for over a year now and I’m about to finish a certified course, so I would like to talk more about this topic also here on Lost in Daydreams. In this first article we will talk about all those things you need to know if you are a beginner and you would like to try to connect with the energy of crystals.
Often if you are at the beginning you are overwhelmed by the amount of information, the amount of crystals and you don’t know where to start. The first advice I would like to give you is to start connecting with a few crystals at the beginning and not to get carried away by buying all the crystals in the shop. The perfect kit for beginners should include these crystals: amethyst, clear quartz, tiger’s eye, citrine and rose quartz.
Another tip is to trust yourself. Working with crystals requires that you connect with your intuition, so start to become familiar with your crystals, hold them in your hand, try to feel their vibrations. Crystals help us because they have the ability to vibrate at very high frequencies, therefore using them in meditation, to rebalance the chakras or simply keep them in the environment will help us keep your vibrations high and improve our mental and physical condition.
Remember that your path is subjective so if a particular stone attracts you, buy it. Develop your intuition to understand what is best for you.
Learn the main properties of your crystals. There are many web sites and resources online that explain the specific properties of each individual crystal and how it should be used. The most common ways to use crystals are: during meditation, to rebalance Chakras, to heal from a physical condition such as a headache, to improve the energies of your home, to create elixirs.
Remember that crystals must be cleansed before use and charged after use. To cleanse them there are many methods, look for the most suitable one for your crystal. The most common are with salt and running water (also from the tap). To charge your crystals you can place them on an amethyst druse for 24 hours or place them on a windowsill on a full moon night. There are many other ways to cleanse and charge, and even in this case there are many free online resources to know more.
I hope that this little guide will be useful and that has convinced you to try to connect with these wonderful treasures that nature has given us.
