More and more often we hear that it’s really important educating ourselves and others on sustainable solutions. But where to start? What can we realistic do to change some habits in order to help the environment . Don’t get rush, reducing your waste is a step-by-step process. You can start with the products we use most often.
Today we’re looking at the bathroom, which probably produces the most waste after the kitchen.
This is my mini list of my top 4 products that I started using to limit waste:
- Bamboo Toothbrush. It is recommended replacing your toothbrush every 3 months. A biodegradable bamboo toothbrush it’s a good alternative to plastic traditional ones.
- Cotton Swab. Traditionally cotton swabs are made with plastic, it is better to switch to biodegradable swab made from sustainable bamboo and organic cotton
- Konjac Sponge. A natural sponge 100% vegan can be a good sustainable solution. Konjac Sponge is made from the dried and ground root of the konjac, a porous root vegetable that grows in Asia. This sponge deep cleanses and exfoliates the skin from the layers of dead cells and accelerates the regeneration process to leave the skin hydrated and looking radiant. Each sponge has a lifespan of about three months, after which it will begin to crumble. Then you can compost it!
- Makeup Remover Pads. Instead of disposable makeup remover cloths or cotton balls, switch to reusable makeup remover pads.
Quite easy and simple, isn’t it? Let me know about your realistic top essential zero waste solutions.
